We use brainstorms all the time to get instant answers and quick solutions. But are we asking the right questions? Why not use question storming first and shift the focus from instant answers to explorative inquiry? In this session, Jeroen Timmer (designer) & Els Dragt (researcher) will guide you into a collective Question Storm. We will use various techniques to help you to ask more, better and creative questions. Hello! Wake Up! Activate your innate ability again to question!

Design thinking approaches problems from the ‘bottom-up’ based on human needs, while systems thinking starts from the ‘top-down’ looking at how components of a system interact. In this session, we explore the intersection and commonalities of these two innovation methodologies. About our guest: Steve Bosak has worked in the U.S. and abroad to develop policies to protect and conserve nature. He has used political and grassroots advocacy, as well as innovation facilitation, to promote biodiversity protection and environmental restoration in New Zealand, US coastal areas, and national parks. Marc Bolick will join Steve to co-facilitate and explore this topic that both have encountered in their work with clients like USAID.
