The way we collaborate while working is what forms the culture of organisations – whether we aim for that or not. In this session, we will look at how organisations are evolving; and at how the practice of design or innovation in the organisation plays a role in that change. Importantly, it is not just the outputs of such innovation or design projects which drives change, but the very existence of this kind of work – and the way it happens – that shapes cultures and is shaped by them. What kind of cultures do design and innovation activity help shape, and what kind of cultures let our work flourish? And how do our facilitation, collaboration and leadership choices contribute? In this session we will draw on activities of applied improvisation to not only discuss, but explore and experience different cultural pressures Visual Mapping by Fieke Sluijs Resource
